Project Manager

Job Summary:

The Senior Project Manager will lead and manage strategic IT initiatives across multiple government ministries and public sector organizations. This role involves overseeing projects through all phases of the project lifecycle while ensuring alignment with government standards and strategic objectives. The position requires strong governance, stakeholder engagement, risk management, and vendor oversight skills to support complex digital transformation and technology projects. Responsibilities:

Lead projects through initiation, planning, execution, monitoring and control, and closure phases.
Ensure project governance and compliance with government standards and policies.
Engage and manage stakeholders across multiple ministries and public sector organizations.
Oversee organizational change management activities related to project delivery.
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks.
Manage vendor relationships and performance.
Support complex digital transformation and technology initiatives.
Ensure projects align with strategic objectives of the Government of Saskatchewan.

Required Skills & Certifications:

Proven experience in senior project management roles, preferably in government or public sector environments.
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and lifecycle management.
Expertise in stakeholder engagement and organizational change management.
Risk management and vendor oversight capabilities.
Excellent communication and leadership skills.
Relevant project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2).

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

Experience with digital transformation and IT project delivery.
Familiarity with Government of Saskatchewan standards, policies, and strategic objectives.
Additional certifications in change management or risk management.

Special Considerations:

Must adhere to government policies and standards.
Ability to work collaboratively across multiple ministries and departments.

Scheduling:

Standard government work hours with possible flexibility based on project needs.
May require occasional extended hours to meet project deadlines.
