Travel MRI Technologist - Magnetic Resonance Imaging

American Traveler is hiring an MRI Technologist with 2+ years of MRI experience and ARRT MR certification for a hospital-based imaging department.

Job Details

• Hospital-based MRI unit serving adult and pediatric outpatient, adult acute care, ICU, and ER/trauma populations,
• Performs abdomen and pelvis, head and neck, spine, and musculoskeletal MRI studies,
• Utilizes GE MRI equipment and PACS system,
• Special imaging procedures include gradient echo, spin echo, T1/T2-weighted imaging, and multiplanar reconstruction,
• 5x8 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM,
• No on-call requirement,
• Floating to other units or campuses required based on census needs, within qualified competencies,

Job Requirements

• ARRT MR and BLS certification required (license required if applicable),
• Minimum 2 years of MRI experience required,
• 1+ years of EPIC EMR experience required,
• First-time travelers considered with 3+ years of MRI experience,
• Community hospital experience preferred,
• Skilled in preparation and administration of contrast media,
• Proficient in starting peripheral IVs,
• Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE use,

Additional Information

• Perform diagnostic MRI imaging across multiple anatomical regions including brain, spine, and musculoskeletal system,
• Orientation held every Monday with annual compliance training required,
• Travelers must reside more than 100 miles from any facility within the health system to be eligible, with limited exceptions for reduced-distance candidates
