Medical Receptionist/front desk

Job Description Job Description Join our friendly ophthalmology clinic in Rochester, MI. Full time position (approximately 34-36 hours) available as a front desk / receptionist . We are looking for a highly competent, friendly person who is a team player with great customer service skills. The Medical Receptionist plays a critical role in ensuring smooth operations at the front desk by managing patient scheduling, appointment coordination, and customer interactions. Working primarily with a small team of 1-3 colleagues in a self-managed capacity, this role requires proficiency in medical software to maintain accurate electronic health records and facilitate efficient patient check-in and check-out processes. Responsibilities Manage patient scheduling and appointment coordination Oversee front desk operations and patient check-in/out Provide excellent customer service and phone management Perform accurate data entry and maintain electronic health records Entering patient demographic data Collecting patient co-pays and patient balance payments Preferred Qualifications Entry-level experience in medical administration High school diploma or equivalent Familiarity with medical terminology and patient scheduling Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and appointment management Strong communication and customer service skills Proficient in data entry and use of specialized medical software
