RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

Registered Nurse - PCU

Job Details:

• 8-week assignment duration
• Every other weekend (EOW) schedule required
• Weekend coverage required
• Float to Medical/Surgical units as needed
• Patient ratios of 1:5 during days, and 1:6 during nights and weekends
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, Alabama nursing license
• 2 years of nursing experience required
• Required work settings experience: MS/Tele, Telemetry, and PCU/Stepdown
• Must have strong cardiac monitoring and emergency response skills
• Required to start IVs and manage heparin protocols
• Manage cardiac drips with no titration required
• Skills include telemetry, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, rapid response/code team use
• Blood product administration and central/peripheral line care and management
• Oxygen administration, non-invasive airway management, and isolation precautions/PPE
• Charting system experience required (any system acceptable)
• First-time travelers accepted
• 60-mile local radius rule applies
• Requested time off must be 7 days maximum
• Modules completed during orientation, average 8 hours
