Recreation Therapist

Eagle Crest Communities: Riverside Transitional Care - La Crosse, WI Full Time 80 hours per two week pay period: Shift times are typically 8:00am-4:30pm. This position participates in one weekend per month and rotating holidays. Great people, great care! About the Position: There is an exciting opportunity at Bethany Riverside in La Crosse! Bring your fun and energetic personality with you when you join our Recreation Therapy team. The Recreation Therapist will be responsible for both planning and leading group programs, assisting with outings, visiting 1:1 with residents, coordinating volunteer duties, maintaining a caseload of residents and the corresponding paperwork, performing assessments, writing notes and care plans, and performing other job duties as assigned by the Director of Recreation Therapy. Requirements: Enthusiastic and high energy individual who is flexible and has good communication and organizational skills Strong leadership skills and a desire to work with the aging population is a must Bachelor’s degree in Recreation Therapy/Therapeutic Recreation is required CTRS certification is required Must be able to work well on a team and independently Knowledge with MDS, quarterly notes, and experience working with older adults in long term care is highly preferred Valid Driver’s License and responsible driving record required Our Wages: Our starting rate is between $17 and $20.00 per hour, based on your experience and qualifications. We pay for high performance! We will review your wage at six months.
