Physical Therapist Assistant – Physical Therapy

Schedule: Days M-F 8-5

Assignment Details:

• Contract Weeks: 26
• Guaranteed Hours: 32

Requirements:

• Graduated from a Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE)-accredited physical therapy assistant education program.
• Must be licensed in good standing as a Physical Therapist Assistant or have all appropriate paperwork completed to work as a Student Physical Therapist Assistant.
• Current BLS certification.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist in administering physical therapy modalities as directed by the Physical Therapist, following patient evaluation.
• Help restore patient functioning to prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability.
• Support patients in reaching their maximum performance and functional levels.
• Participate in operational aspects of the department and performance improvement activities.
• Engage in infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational training, and fire safety programs.

Compliance / Notes:

• Orientation starts on a Tuesday with no guaranteed hours for the first week.
• Proof of completed COVID vaccinations is required.
