In this role, you'll help keep the school clean and safe by performing daily janitorial tasks. You'll work closely with staff and students, ensuring the school meets high cleanliness standards. Ask your interviewer for details.ResponsibilitiesPerform janitorial tasks in entryways, corridors, classrooms, cafeterias, and common areas to ensure cleanliness and safety.Clean and sanitize bathrooms, sinks, floors, and commodes, replenishing lavatory supplies as needed.Remove trash, empty wastebaskets, and remove graffiti.Use cleaning solutions safely, adhering to all safety precautions.Report equipment or cleaning product needs and malfunctions to supervisors.Assist with event support and respond to paging systems promptly.Follow infection control and handwashing procedures to maintain a sanitary environment.Ensure customer service and cleaning standards are consistently met.Perform all other duties as assigned.QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.Previous custodial or janitorial experience in a school setting is preferred.Ability to follow oral and written instructions.Willingness to perform routine tasks consistently.Must complete all responsibilities without supervision after training.Must be punctual and reliable for scheduled shifts.Ability to stand and walk for 6-8 hours daily.Must be able to lift/carry and push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds.Must be able to work around food and cleaning products.Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies, as required by state, local, and/or customers.Must provide a criminal background check.Ready to Join Us?If you're passionate about keeping school environments clean and safe, apply now to become a School Day Porter at CSG!EEO StatementCSG is proud to be an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
