Chief Commercial Officer

United States | Nationwide commercial leadership | Executive role We are supporting a confidential search for a Chief Commercial Officer to lead the nationwide commercial organisation of a market-leading transportation technology business in the United States. This is a high-impact executive leadership opportunity for a proven commercial operator who can translate strategy into sustained growth, market-share gains, and disciplined go-to-market execution across a complex national customer base. The successful candidate will lead Sales, Sales Operations, Marketing, strategic account development, commercial excellence, and nationwide go-to-market execution. They will be accountable for building a predictable, data-driven commercial engine that deepens customer relationships, expands share of wallet, improves pipeline quality, and creates new growth through solutions, services, partnerships, and recurring-revenue models. The mandate: Deliver above-market growth and sustained market-share gains. Lead a nationwide commercial organisation across multiple regions, channels, and customer segments. Strengthen executive relationships with strategic public-sector and transportation customers. Drive commercial excellence across CRM, pipeline management, forecasting, pricing, account planning, and performance management. Move the organisation toward integrated solution selling and outcome-led customer engagement. Build, coach, and develop a high-performing commercial leadership team. We are looking for: 15+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience, including executive-level responsibility. A track record of taking share, outperforming the market, and delivering profitable growth at scale. Experience leading complex national or multi-regional sales and marketing organisations. Background in transportation technology, infrastructure technology, industrial technology, smart cities, IoT, SaaS, services, or adjacent complex technology markets. Experience selling to state and local government agencies, transportation authorities, municipalities, or similarly complex public-sector customers would be highly relevant. Strong commercial operating discipline, financial acumen, and the ability to lead through transformation. This role will suit a growth-oriented, customer-centred, execution-driven commercial leader who is equally comfortable at board/executive level and close to the market, customers, teams, and opportunities.
