Nurse Practitioner - Senior Care - Nights - PRN

General Hours: Night shift, some weekends and holidays required

Schedule:  PRN, 3 to 6 12-hour shifts monthly

SUMMARY:

Assumes the responsibility for the provision of medical care to patients in Avel eCare Senior Care under the direction and supervision of a physician. Nurse Practitioners practice under the rules and regulations of the Nurse Practice Act of the states in which the practitioner is providing services.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required.
• Master’s or Doctorate degree required.
• One or more years of experience preferred.
• Geriatrics, internal medicine, nursing home, and/or experience with geriatric populations preferred.

CERTIFICATION/LICENSURE and/or REGISTRATIONS: 

• Licensed as a nurse practitioner with one unrestricted state license is required.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse with one unrestricted state license is required.
• An active Federal DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration) and State CSR certification (if applicable) is required.
• APRN (advanced practice registered nurses) licensure required within the states that Avel eCare Senior Care services are being provided within 6 months of hire including any state specific education requirements.
• Federal DEA and/or State DEA certification may be required within the states that Avel eCare Senior Care services are being provided within 6 months of hire.
• Completion of state specific certification/education within the initial and renewal time periods is required.
• Must maintain full and current certification as a nurse practitioner from a nationally recognized certifying body. The certification must be in the specialty to which the individual is being appointed or selected.
