Client is looking for a Software Architect ConsultantWhy is this position open: The Citadel is hiring a Software Architect – Consultant to assist in a project upgrading a proprietary software, the Cadet Accountability System.Work Location: Role is 100% remoteRequired Skills3+ years of experience with C#3+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL3+ years of experience gathering and documenting project requirementsPreferred SkillsExperience analyzing existing code and creating modernization plansFamiliarity with 3rd party data integrations using REST API's and SQL extractsDaily Responsibilities:Assess technical feasibility: architecture, scalability, and security of the current CAS system.Examine operational alignment: support for cadet workflows and Commandant, Academic, and Athletic departments.Review interoperability: integration with Banner, Canvas, My Citadel Portal, and health systems.Analyze user experience, adoption, and training needs.Evaluate economic feasibility: total cost of ownership (TCO) and ROI compared with alternative systems.Analyze exiting codebase and provide recommendations, timeline, and roadmap for modernization or replacement.Work with cross-functional teams on complex projectsPresent and prepare reportsAssign appropriate priorities to work activities based on organizational goals and situational pressuresEffectively plan and communicate work activities and deadlinesJ-18808-Ljbffr
