A well-established employee health and primary care clinic in Austin, Minnesota is seeking an experienced Physician Assistant (PA-C) for a locum tenens assignment with potential for long-term or permanent placement. Opportunity Highlights Primary Care / Family Medicine setting Contract or contract-to-permanent opportunity Three 12-hour shifts per week Alternating weekly schedule Low daily patient volume EPIC EMR Collaborative and supportive care team Opportunity to develop long-term patient relationships Potential for permanent placement Practice Setting This outpatient health center provides comprehensive primary care services to employees and dependents ages 2 and older. The practice emphasizes preventive care, wellness, chronic disease management, and convenient access to high-quality healthcare. Services include: Annual physicals and preventive care Well-woman examinations Well-child visits and sports physicals Acute and same-day care Immunizations Minor procedures Laboratory services and point-of-care testing Care management and patient education Clinical Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments and examinations Diagnose and treat acute illnesses and common medical conditions Manage chronic diseases and ongoing treatment plans Conduct preventive care visits and wellness exams Perform minor office-based procedures Prescribe medications within scope of practice Educate patients on health maintenance and disease prevention Document encounters in EPIC Schedule Week 1: Monday through Wednesday Week 2: Wednesday through Friday Alternating schedule thereafter 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM shifts Approximately 36 hours per week Patient Volume & Support Average 7-10 patients per day Reception team support LPN/MA clinical support staff RN Health Center Manager Dedicated RN partner focused on patient education and wellness initiatives Collaborative practice environment Qualifications Required Board-Certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) Active Minnesota license Active DEA registration Current BLS certification Minimum 1 year of Primary Care or Family Medicine experience Preferred EPIC experience Employee Health experience Preventive care and wellness background Interest in long-term practice opportunities Assignment Details Start Date: October 2026 Initial Assignment Length: 3 Months Contract-to-Hire Potential Available Virtual Interview Process EMR: EPIC Why Consider This Opportunity?
