Accounting Specialist – Accounts Payable Youngwood, PA 15697 (fully onsite) $22–$26/hr Finance Department | Non-Exempt Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist – Accounts Payable to support day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and month-end activities. This role is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, resolving discrepancies, and supporting both internal teams and external vendors in a fast-paced accounting environment. Accounting Specialist Key Responsibilities Maintain and process detailed financial transactions within accounting systems Support month-end close activities, ensuring accuracy of ledger balances and reporting Research, investigate, and resolve customer and vendor invoice/payment discrepancies Communicate with internal departments (Purchasing, Receiving, Inspection) to resolve variances Respond to vendor inquiries and provide timely resolution of accounting-related issues Prepare, analyze, and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax reports across jurisdictions Assist with corporate tax filings and related compliance documentation Support Accounts Payable functions and assist lower-level accounting staff as needed Qualifications of the Accounting Specialist Role Associate’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience) 3+ years of general accounting experience Strong attention to detail and ability to work with high-volume transactional data Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently with minimal supervision #J-18808-Ljbffr Creative Financial Staffing, LLC
