Neuro Intensive Care Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (18:45 - 07:15)

We are seeking an experienced Neuro Intensive Care Registered Nurse with a strong background in critical care, specifically in managing patients with neurological conditions. This role involves providing comprehensive care for stroke patients and utilizing specialized equipment to monitor and treat various neurological disorders.

Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized nursing care to patients in the Neuro Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
• Monitor patients' vital signs and neurological status.
• Administer medications and manage intravenous (IV) therapies.
• Perform assessments and interpret dysrhythmias.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop patient care plans.
• Care for patients undergoing neurosurgical procedures including craniotomies and the management of EVDs, lumbar drains, and ICP monitoring.
• Educate patients and families on treatment plans and care at discharge.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Neuro Intensive Care Unit (NICU).
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• ACLS and BCLS certification required.
• Experience with arterial line management and blood product administration preferred.
