Job Description

Position Title: CNC Machinist

Salary: $58,240-$79,040 per year

Shift: 1st

Hours: 6:00am-4:30pm (Mon-Thurs)

QPS Employment Group has a great CNC Machinist position available at a company in Kansas City, KS. This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced equipment and develop specialized skills while ensuring precision and safety standards are met.

CNC Machinist Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Set up, adjust, and operate CNC machines and related tools to produce precision machined parts.
- Align and secure fixtures, cutting tools, and materials according to specifications.
- Monitor machine feed rates and speeds during operation to maintain quality.
- Measure and inspect finished products using precision instruments such as micrometers and calipers to ensure conformance to specifications.
- Record production data, inspection results, and maintenance records accurately.
- Perform minor mechanical repairs and assemblies as needed.
- Cross-train on multiple machines and share expertise with team members.
- Follow all safety policies and procedures, adhering to industry and company standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.

CNC Machinist Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- Basic math proficiency and understanding of geometric tolerances.
- Ability to read blueprints, engineering drawings, and work instructions.
- Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs. regularly.
- Must possess own tools and be willing to perform minor mechanical tasks.
- Self-motivated with a positive attitude and strong attention to detail.
- 0+ years of machining experience acceptable; training provided.
- Ability to work on-site for the duration of the 2-month contract, with potential for permanent placement.
