Location: Livingston, New Jersey

Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants

Schedule: 37.5 hours per week, every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday) required. Clinicians must work or provide on-call coverage for 1 of 2 or 2 of 3 winter holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's) as needed. Facility may call off 1 shift per 2-week period.

Highlights:

• NICU-based float pool position with floating to PICU, Pediatrics, and Newborn Nursery based on clinical needs
• 56-bed Level III NICU caring for more than 1,200 premature and ill newborns annually at a Regional Perinatal Center
• 597-bed teaching hospital and major teaching affiliate with comprehensive pediatric critical care services
• EPIC charting system experience required
• Patient ratios vary based on unit, acuity, census, and staffing; appropriate assignments provided based on skill set when floated
• First-time travelers and local candidates accepted at the same rate

Requirements:

• Active New Jersey or Compact state RN license required at time of submission
• Minimum 1.5 years of nursing experience required
• Documented NICU Level III and PICU experience in employment history required
• Current certifications: BLS, NRP, and PALS
• EPIC charting experience required
• Clinical competencies must include: arterial line management, central line/implanted line care, UAC/UVC management, IV vasopressors, steroids, surfactants, dysrhythmia interpretation and management, ventilator management (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP), various feeding methods (bottle, breast, gavage), placement and management of oral/nasogastric/nasojejunal tubes, and Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome care
• Experience caring for neonates under 24-28 weeks gestation
• Ability to float between units without exception and accept appropriate patient assignments based on skill set
