Pharmacist | Evanston, Illinois

A dedicated Night Pharmacist is needed to provide expert pharmaceutical care during overnight hours on a 7-on, 7-off schedule. This role is ideal for a licensed pharmacist with solid hospital experience and a strong background in pediatrics, specifically comfortable with weight-based dosing for pediatric patients. The position supports a busy pediatric hospital environment where precision and compassion are critical.


Location:

• Evanston, IL (Hospital setting in Chicago, IL)

Schedule:

• Nights from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• 7 days on, 7 days off

Responsibilities:

• Accurately dispense and verify medications for pediatric patients
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective medication therapy
• Manage weight-based dosing and other pediatric-specific pharmaceutical needs
• Utilize hospital IT systems including EPIC and Omnicell for medication management
• Monitor patient responses and adjust therapies as appropriate
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and regulatory requirements

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active IL Pharmacist license
• Strong experience working in a hospital pharmacy setting
• Proven pediatric experience with comfort in weight-based dosing calculations
• Familiarity with EPIC and Omnicell systems preferred
• Excellent attention to detail and communication skills
