Packer

We are seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Packer to join a production and warehouse team in Itasca, IL. In this role, you accurately package finished products according to specifications, prepare orders for shipment, maintain product quality standards, and support a safe and efficient manufacturing environment. You will work in a fast-paced setting and play a key part in meeting productivity and quality objectives.

Responsibilities

• Package products according to customer specifications and company standards.
• Inspect products for defects, damage, or quality issues before packaging.
• Assemble boxes, cartons, and other packaging materials as needed.
• Label packages accurately and complete all required documentation.
• Prepare finished goods for shipment, including palletizing and wrapping materials.
• Maintain accurate counts of products and inventory during packing operations.
• Operate basic warehouse and packaging equipment safely and efficiently.
• Use RF scanners and other basic material handling tools to support packing and picking activities.
• Assist with inventory movement, picking, material handling, and general warehouse duties as assigned.
• Maintain clean and organized work areas in accordance with safety and housekeeping standards.
• Follow all company policies, quality procedures, and safety requirements.
• Communicate any quality concerns, equipment issues, or production delays to supervisors or appropriate personnel.

• Minimum of 6 months of manufacturing experience.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Basic math and counting skills for inventory and packing tasks.
• Experience with packing, production, and packaging processes.
• Ability to perform general labor and material handling tasks.
• Comfort using RF scanners and basic warehouse equipment.
• Capability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Experience with labeling and machine operating in a manufacturing or warehouse setting.
• Background in inventory, picking, and general warehouse operations.
• Strong organizational skills to maintain orderly work areas.
• Reliability and consistency in meeting productivity goals.
• Ability to work collaboratively across various departments.

Work Environment

This position is based in a well-lit, organized manufacturing and warehouse facility in Itasca, IL. You will work 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. The role involves working in various departments, handling finished goods, packaging materials, and basic warehouse equipment. The environment focuses on safety, cleanliness, and efficient workflow, with clear procedures and standards guiding daily operations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Itasca, IL.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
