OMG Roofing Products is a leading global manufacturer and supplier of value-added components for the commercial roofing industry. The FastenMaster Division manufactures and markets innovative, premium quality wood-to-wood fasteners that are engineered to enable professional contractors to complete building projects safer, faster, and easier. In this key position, the Order Selector safely and efficiently receives and distributes products, materials, tools, and equipment as directed.Position ResponsibilitiesPromote safety as the number one priority of all OMG employees.Read customer orders, shipping orders, or requisitions to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed.Safely convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or other designated areas.Sort and place materials or items on racks and shelves according to a pre-determined sequence such as size, type, or product code.Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or convey orders to the packing station or shipping department.Marks materials with identifying information.Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed.Weigh or count items for distribution to ensure conformance with company standards.Perform other tasks as assigned.Position RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent.3 – 5 years' forklift experience in a warehouse and/or shipping and receiving environment preferred.Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and work orders.Ability to perform simple mathematical equations, using a basic calculator and scales.Ability to operate a fork truck within reasonable speeds and safely in a congested warehouse environment.Team-oriented approach with a desire to work in a hands-on capacity.Positive attitude, good judgment, and excellent time management skills.Strong sense of responsibility and ownership.Positive can-do attitude.Physical RequirementsAbility to mount/dismount forklift utilizing three points of contact (two hands and one foot).Manual material handling involving the need to grip, squeeze, and pinch.The position requires the ability to regularly stand for long periods of time.Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance; and regularly lift/push/pull/carry up to 50Must be able to complete all essential job functions listed in the position responsibilities, with or without reasonable accommodation.
