Room Attendant / Housekeeper

About the Position Room Attendant at the Texas A&M Hotel and Conference Center, College Station, Texas. This role involves maintaining exemplary cleanliness and service standards throughout the property, which includes 250 guest rooms and 23 flexible meeting rooms. Responsibilities Change soiled linens on beds and remake beds in accordance with property standards. Perform thorough cleaning and sanitation of guest rooms, furnishings, hallways, and restrooms. Maintain an orderly and stocked work cart, storage closets, and other work areas at all times. Properly utilize and care for equipment, supplies, and guest amenities. Follow lost and found procedures strictly; never remove items from occupied rooms. Work efficiently on feet for extended periods, navigate tight spaces, and lift or carry up to 25 pounds. Communicate effectively and read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions accurately. Qualifications Housekeeping experience is desirable. Neat and pleasant personality. Strong time‑management skills. Physical ability to work on feet for an extended period and lift at least 25 pounds. Effective communication skills. Proficient in reading room numbers, dates, and basic instructions. Compensation & Benefits Starts at $14.00 per hour, rises to $15.00 per hour after 6 months.
