Ensuring shelves are clean, maintaining temperature control, verifying expiration dates, and disposing of lesser-quality food products. Packing ready-to-sell products in proper containers and stock displays. Maintaining a clean, sanitized, and member-ready area. Responsibilities Maintain safety of the facility by following all safety standards, procedures, and guidelines, including conducting safety sweeps and proper forklift spotting procedures, handling and disposing of hazardous materials, and reporting unsafe situations to management. Maintain the sales floor and merchandise presentation in the freezer/cooler/deli area in accordance with company policies, handling claims and returns, zoning the area, stocking merchandise, setting up clean product displays, removing damaged goods, signing and pricing merchandise, completing audits, paperwork, logs, and documentation, and securing fragile items. Provide member service by acknowledging the member and identifying their needs, locating merchandise, assisting with purchasing decisions, providing deli products, resolving issues and concerns, and promoting the company’s products and services. Follow company policies related to the freezer/cooler area by complying with food handling policies, operating, repairing, and sanitizing equipment, following cold chain procedures, cleaning the freezer/cooler/deli area (including windows, mirrors, display cases, and coolers), monitoring freezers and coolers for proper operation, and reporting issues to management. Additional compensation in the form of premiums may be paid in amounts ranging from $0.35 per hour to $3.00 per hour in specific circumstances.
