Qualifications

Education and Experience: Possession of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and experience equivalent to four years of full-time professional educational, instructional or supervisory/administrative work.

Substitution of Graduate Education for Experience: Graduate coursework from an accredited college or university may be substituted for the required experience, on a year-for-year basis, to a maximum of two years.

OR One year of experience as an Education Consultant 1 or School Nutrition Consultant with the State of Tennessee.

Necessary Special Qualifications: Applicants for this class may be required to:

1. Possess a valid driver's license.

Examination Method: Education and Experience, 100%, for Preferred Service positions. For Executive Service positions, Minimum Qualifications, Necessary Special Qualifications, and Examination Method are determined by the appointing authority.

Overview

The Senior Coordinator of Early Childhood Quality and Supports is responsible for performing professional childcare program evaluation in regulation of certified school-administered childcare programs.

Responsibilities

The Senior Coordinator of Early Childhood Quality and Supports examines school-administered childcare programs for adherence with certification regulations, investigates complaints, provides targeted technical assistance and ensures children have access to high quality teaching and learning.
