FreeCAD Expert for BIM & IFC AI Training [Remote]

As a FreeCAD Expert with a focus on BIM and IFC, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of AI systems by providing high-quality, real-world input that influences how these models learn and perform. Your expertise in parametric modeling and building information modeling will be instrumental in developing advanced AI applications. Key Responsibilities:

• Lead full parametric modeling projects in FreeCAD from conception through to production-ready deliverables.
• Utilize BIM and IFC to coordinate and document building models, including walls, slabs, and structures.
• Import, export, and validate IFC data to ensure seamless interoperability with other CAD/BIM platforms.
• Develop and manage constrained sketches, parametric model trees, and building components throughout project lifecycles.
• Prepare detailed documentation sets, including technical drawings and model exports (STEP, STL, DXF, IFC).
• Clearly articulate your modeling strategies, BIM structuring choices, and interoperability considerations in both written documentation and verbal recordings.
• Collaborate with technical teams to capture and convey the rationale behind your workflow, supporting AI learning objectives.

• Expert-level proficiency in FreeCAD, demonstrated by a strong portfolio of complex, completed projects.
• Proven track record managing full parametric 3D CAD workflows using FreeCAD from concept to production.
• Deep practical knowledge of BIM methodologies and IFC standards, including relevant FreeCAD workbenches.
• Hands-on experience with building elements, model structuring, and data management for interoperability.
• Solid skills in AutoCAD, CAM, and other 3D CAD software environments.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, with a keen attention to detail in documentation.
• Ability to self-direct in a remote, collaborative environment, maintaining high standards of professionalism and technical rigor.

• Experience contributing to FreeCAD’s open-source community or developing custom add-ons.
• Background in AI, machine learning projects, or technical knowledge capture.
• Familiarity with workflows bridging FreeCAD to other BIM/CAD platforms.

Contract position with remote work flexibility.

Hourly rate ranging from $30 to $120.
