Job Summary: At Tropical Smoothie Café, we promote a healthier lifestyle by serving delicious food and smoothies with a tropical flair. As a Shift Leader, you will guide the team with our core values—Solid Relationships, Playing to Win, Creative Spirit, and Living Better—and help ensure a high‑quality customer experience. Duties / Responsibilities: Assist in inventory training as needed. Drive brand values and standards through all training and development activities. Coach, train, and develop management and crew members. Support hiring and staffing needs, especially in under‑staffed cafes. Support new software rollouts and training. Ensure team member training programs are executed per TSC & DYNE standards. Interact with crew members, customers, and vendors using DYNE’s core values. Deliver “Unparalleled Hospitality” to each customer that visits our cafe. Be knowledgeable and proficient in each position within the cafe. Successfully complete the Café Basics and Certified Trainer Program. Ensure each station operates to Tropical Smoothie Café standards. Train and coach crew members during each shift to uphold brand standards. Use tools to accomplish goals, manage labor and control inventory using MyInventory. Perform any additional tasks necessary to run the café. Required Skills / Abilities: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent management and supervisory skills. Strong working knowledge of Excel and Word, and ability to learn other computer software programs. Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills. Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions. Physical Requirements: Continuous standing and walking throughout each shift. Bending, lifting, and carrying up to 30 pounds for stocking, refilling ice, or handling trash. Frequent face‑to‑face interactions with crew members and customers. Safe navigation in a fast‑paced café environment. Ability to multi‑task and remain positive in sometimes stressful working conditions. Frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, overhead reaching, and stretching. Lifting no greater than 50 pounds.
