About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Rotating Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 1 year Labor and Delivery experience required. License: Current Registered Nurse license required. Certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate required. Must-Have: - Previous travel experience preferred. - Willingness to float within Women's and Infants units. - Weekend shifts required as per unit needs. Description: Seeking a Registered Nurse for Labor and Delivery. The role requires clinical proficiency in obstetrical care. Nurses will provide care for patients during labor, delivery, and postpartum. Scrubbing for cesarean sections and assisting in high-risk deliveries is expected. Regular evaluations of fetal heart rates and ensuring maternal well-being will be performed. The unit consists of 19 rooms with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:2. Candidates must possess skills in medication administration and patient education. Flexibility in scheduling and adherence to unit policies is essential. Additional responsibilities include utilizing electronic medical record systems. Collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and quality care is required. Attendance at required training and completion of modules is necessary.
