Senior Compliance Manager Position Summary Beach Front Property Management is seeking an Assistant Compliance Specialist – Affordable Housing to provide hands-on support to the Senior Compliance Manager with the day-to-day execution of affordable housing compliance across our portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have direct affordable housing compliance experience and be able to independently perform core compliance functions, including certifications and recertifications, income and asset calculations, resident file reviews, compliance corrections, and audit preparation.

This position works closely with the Senior Compliance Manager and property operations teams to ensure resident files and affordable housing communities remain compliant with applicable program requirements, property-specific regulatory agreements, and agency guidelines.

Key Responsibilities Support the Senior Compliance Manager with day-to-day affordable housing compliance activities across multiple properties and jurisdictions. Independently review and process move-in certifications, annual recertifications, and other required certification activity, including determining household eligibility, calculating income and assets, preparing Tenant Income Certifications (TICs), and reviewing required supporting documentation. Review resident files for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with applicable affordable housing programs, including LIHTC, HOME, PSH, and other applicable or layered funding requirements and property-specific regulatory agreements. Verify applicable income and rent limits, tenant rents, utility allowances, and other affordability requirements in accordance with program requirements and property-specific regulatory agreements. Identify file deficiencies and work directly with onsite teams through resolution, including communicating review results and obtaining required corrections, clarifications, and missing documentation. Manage assigned compliance workload through completion, including outstanding certifications, recertifications, file corrections, documentation, deadlines, tracking, and required submissions. Prepare and review files for audits, monitoring reviews, inspections, and third-party compliance reviews; assist with corrective responses; and help maintain assigned properties in an audit-ready condition. Coordinate compliance requirements with LAHSA/CES, Housing Authorities, service providers, third-party compliance providers, and applicable regulatory or funding agencies, including documentation associated with PSH referrals and placements, as applicable. Provide compliance support for lease-ups, acquisitions, management transitions, and new-property onboarding, including onsite file reviews and compliance guidance to Community and Regional Managers. Maintain current knowledge of applicable affordable housing programs, regulatory requirements, and property-specific restrictions through ongoing training and professional development. Maintain confidentiality and properly safeguard resident and compliance documentation. Travel to assigned affordable housing communities as needed. Perform other compliance-related duties as assigned by the Senior Compliance Manager. Requirements Minimum 2 years of hands-on affordable housing compliance experience. Direct experience completing income certifications and annual/interim recertifications. Working knowledge of LIHTC and HUD compliance requirements. Experience reviewing resident files and identifying and correcting compliance deficiencies. Working knowledge of household income, asset, deduction, and eligibility calculations and required verification documentation. Experience preparing or reviewing Tenant Income Certifications (TICs) and supporting documentation. Ability to read, understand, and apply regulatory and program requirements to resident files. Experience with Yardi Voyager or similar property management/compliance software. Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies in compliance documentation. Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple files, properties, deadlines, and priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to independently manage assigned compliance responsibilities while collaborating with the Senior Compliance Manager and property operations teams. Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and ability to travel to assigned properties. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH), PBV, and HOME programs. Familiarity with LAHSA and the Coordinated Entry System (CES) processes and documentation. Experience working with Housing Authorities and third-party compliance providers. Affordable housing lease-up experience. Experience preparing resident files for agency audits, monitoring reviews, and compliance inspections. HCCP, COS, TCS, Fair Housing, or other applicable affordable housing certification.
