Senior Associate, Actuarial Applications

We are seeking a Senior Associate, Actuarial Applications to support actuarial technology initiatives and manage data and applications for use across our Actuarial teams. The role will be based in our Nashville, TN office on a hybrid basis. What You Will Do Implement strategic and tactical initiatives related to application maintenance and support, analytics/reporting, Python development, cloud computing (AWS and Azure), and applications development. Operate in an agile development environment, applying DevOps principles. Understand current state data pipelines and processes and propose future state optimizations. Test and debug applications. Provide long‑term technology solutions to financial modeling using modern data engineering, data visualizations, and machine learning. Evaluate SaaS solutions from a technology perspective in partnership with our business teams. What You Will Have (Qualifications) Bachelor's degree in Math, Computer Science, Engineering or similar field; 5+ years of experience. Experience with dashboarding systems (Power BI, Tableau, etc.). Domain knowledge of insurance or reinsurance (preferred). Minimum two years in programming (Python, Julia and/or R) and proficiency in SQL. Experience in building cloud‑based data solutions in AWS. At least one year experience with Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform. Prior knowledge and experience in the fintech, investment banking or insurance industry. Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and conceptual skills. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Base Salary Range: $115,000–$145,000 USD. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
