This is an opportunity to work in a highly collaborative, multi-platform, multi–disciplined, classified systems environment resolving support issues for the engineering community using helpdesk and task assignment methods. ** This position is onsite in Cedar Rapids, IA. ** What YOU will do: Install, configure, and maintain Windows servers. Perform regular system updates, patches, and security configurations. Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability. Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls. Provide technical support and troubleshooting for end-users and internal teams. Respond to and resolve system-related incidents and service requests. Collaborate with other IT teams to resolve complex issues. Implement and maintain security best practices for system administration. Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments IAW NIST 800-53. Ensure compliance with IT policies and regulatory requirements. Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies. Perform regular data backups and ensure data integrity. Test and validate disaster recovery procedures. Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations and procedures. Generate regular reports on system performance, security, and compliance. Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience. DoD SECRET security clearance is needed day one. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance. Extensive experience with applying DoD STIGs to, and Windows servers and workstations. Proven experience as a System Administrator with expertise in Windows. Excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Qualifications We Prefer: Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, KVM). The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
