The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including the administration of medications, monitoring patient conditions, and collaborating with healthcare team members to deliver optimal patient outcomes.General Information\n \n Unit Name: 4 North Cardiac Telemetry\n Number of Beds: 29\n Patient Ratios: 1:4\n Staffing Composition: Charge Nurse, Unit Secretary, Patient Care Technicians (PCTs)\n Scheduling Requirements: Must work full-time, including three weekend shifts per scheduling period\n Floating Policy: Nurses may be required to float to areas where competency has been demonstrated\n Unit Equipment\n \n Alaris IV Pumps\n SCD machines\n Hill Rom beds\n Dinamap monitors\n Welch Allen Vital Machines\n Wound Vacs\n Temporary Pacemakers\n Telemetry monitors\n EKG Machines\n Bladder Scanners\n Dopplers\n Imobile communication devices\n Qualifications\n \n Required Experience: Cardiac Telemetry or PCU/ICU experience, including the ability to read and interpret EKGs and telemetry strips.\n Advanced Skills Needed: Experience with post-cardiac procedural care, including ablations, cardiac catheterizations, post-operative day 1 open heart care, and permanent pacemaker placements.\n Medication Administration: Must be competent in administering and titrating IV medications such as insulin, Cardizem, Cardene, and Amiodarone.\n Procedures Performed: IV insertions, nasogastric tube placement and maintenance, chest tube maintenance, temporary pacemakers, and Foley catheter insertions.\n Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.\n Dress Code\n Employees are required to wear navy blue scrubs; black scrub pants may be worn with a navy blue top.Additional Information\n \n Work in a fast-paced environment with a family-like atmosphere.\n Opportunities available for transitioning into full-time positions upon successful completion of contracts.\n The unit has received "Get With the Guidelines-Heart Failure GOLD PLUS with Honor Roll" recognition from AHA.\n \n \n Thrive Staffing Job ID #19104537.
