The Dosmatic Injector Technician is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and testing water-powered fertilizer injectors used in agricultural, horticultural, and greenhouse applications. During peak season, the role is primarily focused on Dosmatic injector repair. During non-peak periods, the position performs general warehouse duties and operational support as assigned. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to clearly document and communicate technical findings to internal teams.

*** Previous plumbing or irrigation experience highly preferred.

Compensation Data: Non-exempt hourly pay, based on experience. Overtime eligible.

Location: Beloit, WI; 100% Onsite

Schedule: M-F; 8:00am-4:30pm

Key Responsibilities:

Dosmatic Injector Inspection & Repair

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and test Dosmatic and similar water-powered fertilizer injectors.
• Disassemble and reassemble injectors to identify mechanical issues, worn components, or performance failures.
• Replace components and verify proper operation prior to return to inventory or shipment.
• Document repairs, including issues identified, parts used, corrective actions taken, and final test results.
• Ensure repaired injectors meet quality, safety, and performance standards.

Communication & Documentation

• Communicate repair findings and outcomes to Sales, Operations, and Warehouse teams.
• Prepare clear, accurately written repair documentation for internal tracking and customer reference.
• Provide technical information to support Sales inquiries related to injector functionality and repair status.

Warehouse Operations & Support

• Perform general warehouse duties when not assigned to injector repair, including:
  • Receiving and verifying incoming shipments.
  • Pulling, verifying, and packaging customer orders.
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records using computer-based systems.
  • Supporting overall warehouse organization, cleanliness, and efficiency.
• Assist other departments as needed based on workload and business priorities.

Seasonal Work Allocation

• January–May: Approximately 75%–100% of time dedicated to Dosmatic injector inspection and repair.
• June–December: Approximately 50% or less injector-focused, with the remaining time dedicated to general warehouse duties.

Training:

• Initial training will cover:
  • Workplace safety and warehouse procedures.
  • Fundamentals of water-powered injector systems including components, flow principles, and common failure points.
  • Proper use of tools, testing methods, and quality control standards.
  • Repair documentation, inventory tracking, and internal communication expectations.
  • Training will be hands-on and include observation, supervised repairs, and progressive skill development.
  • Employees will receive ongoing training and support as new equipment, parts, processes, or seasonal demands are introduced.
  • Performance expectations will be clearly communicated, and additional training will be provided as needed to support success in the role.

• High school diploma or GED required

Competencies:

Required:

• Mechanical aptitude with the ability to inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to clearly document work and communicate technical information.
• Comfortable using computers for inventory control and documentation.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a warehouse environment.

Preferred:

• Background or experience in irrigation systems, plumbing, pumps, valves, or water-flow equipment.
• Experience with agricultural, greenhouse, or fertigation equipment.
• Prior warehouse, technical service, or equipment repair experience.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, bend, reach, and use hand tools for extended periods.
• Ability to work in a warehouse and mechanical repair environment.
