Program Manager Full Time Mid Level Managers Saint Johnsbury, VT, US 5 days ago Requisition ID: 1750 Salary Range: $70,000.00 To $100,000.00 Annually Job Title: Program Manager FLSA Status: Exempt Job Summary The Program Manager will oversee, and coordinate manufacturing projects related to metal fabrication, machining, and assembly. This customer-facing role will be responsible for ensuring projects meet quality, cost, and delivery expectations while maintaining strong relationships with clients. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of manufacturing processes and a proven ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary point of contact for customers, ensuring clear communication and alignment on project requirements. Oversee and manage manufacturing programs from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, production, and quality control, to optimize manufacturing processes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve product quality. Provide design for manufacturability (DFM) feedback to MMG engineering and direct to the customer. Monitor project performance, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular updates to stakeholders. Develop and maintain strong customer relationships, addressing concerns and providing solutions to meet their needs. Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and safety standards. Identify and mitigate risks associated with manufacturing operations and supply chain management. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 5+ years of experience in manufacturing program management, preferably in metal fabrication, machining, or assembly. Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, including CNC machining, welding, forming, and assembly. Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Proven ability to work in a customer-facing role, managing client expectations and resolving issues effectively. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and project management software. Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills. Experience with LEAN manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies is a plus. Physical and Environmental Conditions Primarily sitting at a desk with occasional need to stand, walk, and reach for items. Fine motor skills for typing on a keyboard and using a mouse. Ability to lift and carry light objects (up to 50 pounds) occasionally. Repetitive hand movements due to keyboard use. Visual acuity for close work with computer screens. Indoor office setting with controlled temperature and lighting. Moderate noise level from office equipment and conversations. Exposure to computer screens for extended periods. Potentially occasional exposure to dust and allergens from paper documents. This position operates in both office and manufacturing floor environments. Exposure to noise, machinery, temperature variation, and industrial conditions may occur when accessing plant areas.
