Job Description Overview IDEAL NNP OPPORTUNITY! Belmont (Charlotte Metro Region), North Carolina! Responsibilities We have an excellent opportunity for an experienced full‑time neonatal nurse practitioner to play a leadership role in a brand new, 10 bed LDRP Level‑I Nursery, at CaroMont Regional Medical Center‑Belmont , scheduled to open late 2024. About the Practice This Level‑I unit will have an anticipated 600 deliveries a year. An average daily census of about 5 newborns. NNPs will be responsible for daily rounds on newborns, attending deliveries when requested and taking call from home. Practitioners will stabilize, manage, and facilitate transport of newborns to adjacent NICUs in Charlotte or Gastonia for higher‑level care. The Belmont team will consist of 4 NNPs; the sister Level‑III NICU staffed by 2 neonatologists and 5‑6 NNPs is located at CaroMont Regional Medical Center‑Gastonia, only 7 miles away. Opportunities to do supplemental PRN shifts at the Level‑III NICU in Gastonia may be possible, but are not required for this Level‑I position. Hospital Information Belmont Medical Center is located just 15 miles from uptown Charlotte and 8 miles from Charlotte Douglas International Airport.
