Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement individualized treatment plans to prevent disability, alleviate pain, and restore functional capabilities in alignment with medical guidance.
• Oversee physical therapy assistants in executing care plans and ensure adherence to the therapeutic goals established for each patient.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, utilizing a range of diagnostic assessments to determine current functional abilities.
• Assess home environments for rehabilitation potential, providing recommendations to enhance patient independence.
• Administer a variety of therapeutic exercises and treatments, including manual therapy, traction, and modalities involving physical agents.
• Evaluate, fit, and adjust prosthetic and orthotic devices, making necessary modifications with physician collaboration.
• Document patient progress meticulously, including initial evaluations, therapy sessions, and discharge summaries, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary case conferences to coordinate comprehensive treatment strategies.
• Engage in patient and family education regarding therapy techniques and the use of physical therapy devices.
• Supervise and instruct Physical Therapy Assistants to promote best practices and enhance treatment efficacy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve include individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports-related injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Additionally, you will work with geriatric populations who require rehabilitation following acute medical events. Your ability to build rapport and engage effectively with diverse patient backgrounds will be paramount in achieving desired health outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy, with preference given to advanced degrees or certifications.
• Current and valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state of Florida.
• Strong clinical knowledge and a passion for delivering patient-focused care.
• Excellent assessment and therapeutic skills, adaptable to various patient needs.
• Current CPR certification is required.
• Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance for home evaluations, as needed.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 100,000 to $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
