Payroll & Benefit Specialist

We are looking for an experienced Payroll & Benefit Specialist to support an organization in Omaha, Nebraska. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who can manage high-volume, multi-state payroll operations with accuracy, consistency, and strong attention to compliance. The person in this role will work closely with accounting and related teams to help ensure employees are paid correctly and benefit processes are handled efficiently.Payroll AdministrationProcess bi-weekly payroll for approximately 260 employees using ADP.Maintain payroll records, deductions, garnishments, direct deposits, and tax withholdings.Ensure accurate payroll calculations, including overtime, bonuses, commissions, and paid time off.Audit payroll data and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.Manage multi-state payroll compliance and payroll tax requirements.Prepare payroll-related reports for HR and leadership.Benefits AdministrationAdminister employee benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability, and retirement plans.Coordinate employee enrollments, changes, and terminations.Support annual open enrollment activities.Serve as the primary point of contact for employee benefit questions.Work with benefit providers to resolve eligibility and claims issues.Maintain accurate employee benefit records within HRIS and payroll systems.Compliance & ReportingEnsure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.Support year-end processing, including W-2 preparation and payroll reconciliations.Assist with audits and provide documentation as requested.Maintain confidentiality of employee information and payroll records.
