Valeo Resources has partnered with an integrated health organization. We are currently seeking candidates for an Executive Director to join the team in Cold Spring, MN! In this role, you will be working with our Psychiatric Residential Treatment Facility which provides intensive behavioral health treatment to children and adolescents (ages 7-17) with autism spectrum disorder and intellectual and developmental disabilities.

The program is designed to provide youth with education, life skills, and a range of therapy services that have been shown to improve outcomes for populations that are the most at-risk and vulnerable.

Essential Job Functions

• Administers the program, demonstrating accountability to: our mission, vision and beliefs
• Applicable federal, state and local regulations
• Policies and procedures
• Performance targets defined by organization's balanced scorecard
• Meeting the deadlines and work needs of support departments
• Annual financial plan
• Achieving gains in the annual priorities identified by the Board of Directors
• Works with the team to establish treatment practices that incorporate the philosophies and methodologies of trauma-informed care, comfort versus control, and a focus upon measurable outcomes that support successful transition to a community-based level of care
• Partners with supervisors to establish high-quality teams that differentiate us from other providers in the marketplace.
• Ensures that the academic, residential and clinical services are managed in a way that promotes integration, efficiency and effective outcomes for residents within the program
• Ensures that all staff working within the programs are held accountable for the duties specified in their job descriptions, including administrative staff who report to central department personnel. Provides support to staff who do not meet the job expectations, and authorizes termination of employment as appropriate
• Supervises PRT program administrators and others as applicable. Serves as team leader of the PRT Operations Team, composed of Medical Director, Education Administrator, Clinical Administrator, Residential Administrator (if applicable) and Case Management Supervisor.
• Ensures that consultants working on behalf of the programs fulfill their contractual commitments
• Provides site supervision for Human Resources Managers, Quality Assurance Supervisors, Maintenance Supervisors, and Dietary Managers. Works with corporate directors to adapt the job duties to the PRT needs, evaluate performance and determine staff development needs
• Organizes staff into teams to accomplish the work of the programs and designs accountability systems for teams as well as individuals
• Attends appropriate local and national meetings to promote organization's reputation and to keep informed of developments important to our planning efforts
• Ensures positive customer relationships with agencies that fund residents in the program. Is a bridge to other providers and seeks collaboration and shared responsibility.
• Develops and monitors the PRT budget; ensures general understanding of budget assumptions and constraints among PRT staff. Demonstrates effective financial management of the PRT operations
• Ensures that policies and procedures support program operations; recommends changes as appropriate. Adapts organizational procedures to meet the PRT's needs, emphasizing the principles of simplicity, efficiency and staff support
• Acts as a point of appeal for families and agencies whose concerns have not been satisfied by program staff. Works to resolve the concerns.

• Ensures that capacity is built to allow for the treatment of a spectrum of consumers with a variety of needs through the synergy discussed above
• Actively manages the facilities toward progressive organic growth in census
• Facilitates an atmosphere of team-ownership of the process and product. Ensures that team members are empowered to be the driving force for best practice and innovation.
• Participates on various committees
• Markets organization's services and represents at community functions
• Works with the program support team to identify significant areas of need that will define future priorities
• Directs the on-call rotation as required by the PRT campus

Minimum Training and Experience

• Master's degree in a human services field, special education, or a related field preferred; plus
• 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in implementing, evaluating and reviewing programs that involve the delivery of clinical, therapeutic and/or academic services to clients, preferably in a children's residential facility; and
• Experience in administration and supervising OR
• Any equivalent combination of training and experience which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
