Pre and post cardiac catheterization patients and pacemaker patients. 24 observation patients to rule out MI. Patients with chest pain, shortness of breath, COPD, DM, HTN, Renal failure. Care of patients after transfer out of ICU. Patients post CVA (after patient spends 24 hours in ICU) that may have TPA. Care of medical or surgical over flow patients on occasion. Special Procedures/Unit Details: - Special Equipment: *** SCREEN if missing any required skills *** #Tier2 Travel Compliance RTO: Max of 7 days of RTO (7+ days requires manager approval, along with any holiday RTO). No new RTO after submission. No RTO allowed the first week of an assignment. License Information: MO: Submit without license OK; requires MO or compact (no issuance if tied to another compact state). IL: License in hand required at time of submittal. Compact: Must match permanent residence otherwise submit for update + confirm ETA. Radius/Local Rules: No local candidates accepted within 75 mile radius. No local travelers allowed, except for Patient Care Technicians, Certified Nurse Assistants, and Medical Assistants. Tenure Policy / Returning Staff and Tenure Policy (excluding Interim Leadership and RNFA roles): 18 months with a 3-month break in service required. Permanent employees (across BJC and/or Saint Lukes) must wait 1 year before returning to any BJC facility as a traveler. Floating: All travelers will float within service line. Charting System: Epic Contract Details: Confirm shift in submittal (e.g., 3x12, 4x12, etc.). Please note, contract length is firm. Booking Rules: BJC does not permit contractors to sign a contract and subsequently cancel it in order to accept another BJC assignment. Contractors are expected to fulfill the terms of their signed agreement in full. Mid-contract cancellations for the purpose of booking a different BJC assignment are not allowed. If a contract is canceled at the contractor’s discretion, they must complete an assignment elsewhere before being considered for a new BJC opportunity. Compliance Deadlines/Requirements: Compliance deadline is 3pm CST on the Monday of the week before initial start date. Fit testing: *Travelers must have facial hair that allows for proper testing or will be expected to shave. No exceptions Certifications: For Barnes-Jewish Hospital location only: ACLS Required All RNs (except Behavioral Health, Case Manager & Outpatient) are required to obtain ACLS by compliance hard document deadline. Certifications not required at time of submittal unless otherwise noted in the job description. Labs: Labs must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing Modules: Modules are billable up to 16 hours at $20/hr.
