Job Summary:
The Medical Surgical Rehabilitation Floor registered nurse position is located in an inpatient rehabilitation unit on the fourth floor of a healthcare facility. This role involves providing specialized care to patients recovering from neurological, orthopedic, and surgical conditions, supporting their rehabilitation needs with a focus on post-stroke, neuro, and orthopedic patients. The position requires clinical expertise in a busy inpatient rehab setting, contributing to a team dedicated to high-quality patient outcomes.

Job Details:

• Location: Overland Park, Kansas, at a facility's 4th-floor inpatient rehab unit.
• Schedule: Nights, 12-hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week, rotating every third weekend.
• Required Qualifications: Valid BLS (Basic Life Support) certification, extensive inpatient rehab experience averaging approximately 20 years, and a minimum of 1 year of relevant clinical experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) or PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications are desirable.
• Additional Information: The unit predominantly cares for post-stroke, surgical (neuro or ortho), and medical patients needing increased therapy. Staff is highly experienced, with an average of 20 years of inpatient rehab experience, and the team benefits from engaged leadership and ample resources for rehab services. The unit has received recognition for excellence, including the Unit of Distinction Award in 2021.
