Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description BAE Systems, one of the world's leading defense contractors and a stable Fortune 500 company, has a need for several mechanics at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant. These positions will start on day shift during training and the shift may vary after that. As a Mechanic, You Will Inspect, dismantle and repair process equipment, machinery, piping and buildings. Perform any of the duties of Millwrights B, Pipefitters B, or Carpenters B, according to his skill and training and, in addition, perform a few of the duties of other classifications with some degree of skill. Report accurately any mechanical faults discovered. Perform work to a high standard in a safe, efficient and economical manner. Perform duties according to his skill and training to high quality standards in a safe, efficient and economical manner with average supervision. Required Education, Experience, & Skills High School or equivalent and 5 years related industrial experience or associate's degree and 3 years related industrial experience. Ability to work as a Millwright B, Pipefitter B, Welding, or Carpenter B. Ability to perform work to a high standard in a safe, efficient and economical manner. Report accurately any mechanical faults discovered. Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills Preferred to have at least 3 years maintenance expericance in an industrial enviroment. Pay Information This position is covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA), which will determine your wages.
