Continuing Education - German

Job Summary The Lifelong Learning Department is seeking a part‑time German instructor to teach evening class(es) in our continuing education World Languages program at the Arnold campus this Fall. Previous teaching experience is required. The instructor is to follow the curriculum outline and learning expectations as provided. Content is housed in Canvas Learning Management System. Instructors must have proficient German language skills, 3 years teaching experience, some computer experience, and the ability to effectively manage a classroom. Job Duties and Responsibilities Develop and implement daily instructional lesson plans aligned with the established curriculum, ensuring adherence to the college’s philosophy, policies, and guidelines. Deliver engaging and high-quality instruction through lectures and hands‑on classes, whether on campus, off campus, or remotely, in accordance with the professional standards of Anne Arundel Community College. Engage in clear, professional, and timely communication with students, faculty, and staff to foster collaboration and support. Ensure prompt and accurate submission of grades, attendance records, reports, and other required documentation. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in German language studies or related field. Three (3) years of experience teaching the German language. Proficient German language skills. Computer experience and ability to manage a classroom effectively.
