Registered Nurse Women's Care UnitIn addition to the general staff RN job description, the WCU staff RN will be responsible for the care of women from childbearing through geriatric years and infants up to 28 days of life, supervising and coordinating care with other disciplines.Education and Qualifications:Basic computer skills.Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.At least one-year labor and delivery experience, nursery experiences (any level) and postpartum experience is appreciated.AWHONN Fetal Monitoring must get certification within six months of employment and recertified every two years.ACLS & STABLE preferred.Current BLS certification.Current license as a Registered Nurse by the State of California.Current NRP and hospital conscious sedation certification for all Registered Nurses in the WCU and Nursing Supervision must be initially certified within six months of employment and recertified every two years in NRP.Physical Requirements/Work Environment/Use of Senses and Communications Skills:The physical demands and work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee typically encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.
