Project Manager

Description

The Sr Project Manager is responsible for driving one extra-large project or two to three medium-to-large enterprise cross-functional projects concurrently. The individual is accountable for end-to-end project delivery including financial management, schedule management, cross-functional dependencies, resource planning, quality assurance, scope management, and risk management.

The role will support our client's Strategy Realization Office (SRO) and will initially help lead a complex procurement-related initiative, though projects may span Procurement, Supply Chain, HR, Enterprise Governance, Risk & Compliance, and other strategic business functions. This position requires a project leader who can influence executives, navigate ambiguity, drive strategic decisions, and successfully manage highly visible enterprise initiatives.

Success in this role is measured by delivering projects on time, within scope, within budget, and at a high level of quality while maintaining stakeholder alignment across the organization.

Key responsibilities include:

-Drive day-to-day management of enterprise initiatives.

-Lead highly visible and complex strategic programs.

-Build and manage project schedules, budgets, resources, and cross-functional plans.

-Influence stakeholders without direct authority.

-Deliver executive-level project updates.

-Proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies, and roadblocks.

-Coordinate internal teams, executives, and external vendors.

-Facilitate business decisions and alignment among leadership teams.

-Support business transformation and organizational change initiatives.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

- 5+ years of project management experience in large enterprise environments.

- Experience leading complex, cross-functional business initiatives.

- Strong executive stakeholder management skills.

- Demonstrated success influencing leadership teams.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills.

- Experience with Smartsheet, Jira, or similar project management tools preferred.

- PMP and/or Agile certifications are preferred.

This is a Contract position based out of Knoxville, TN.

The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $65.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
