Occupational Therapist School Setting - Millsboro, DE

Job Description

Make a meaningful impact supporting middle and high school students by joining a welcoming school community for a contract opportunity. This position focuses on Occupational Therapy services and is perfect for professionals seeking a manageable schedule with a light caseload. With only 15 evaluations currently and most being re-evaluations, you'll find the workload both engaging and achievable.

This contract runs ASAP through the end of the school year (EOSY), offering flexibility for those interested in supporting students for a defined period. You'll work up to 10 hours per week, collaborating closely with students, staff, and parents to foster student growth and independence.

Qualifications:

Valid DE Occupational Therapy certification required
Previous experience working as a school OT, preferably with middle and high school populations
Strong understanding of school-based evaluation and re-evaluation processes
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to work independently while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct evaluations and re-evaluations for middle and high school students
Develop and update individualized educational plans (IEPs) in collaboration with team members
Provide clear, effective reports for students and staff
Consult with teachers and staff to support student access to curriculum and school activities
Maintain accurate, organized documentation in compliance with school and regulatory guidelines
