Occupational Therapist School Setting in Millsboro, DE

Job Description

Step into a rewarding, full-time opportunity supporting students and collaborating with educational teams in a dynamic school environment. This long-term contract role is ideal for an Occupational Therapist passionate about making a difference throughout the entire academic year. You'll provide essential OT services to help students reach their fullest potential, while enjoying the structure and consistency of a full-year placement.

Key Qualifications:

Active Occupational Therapist license required
Experience or strong interest in school-based OT practice
Familiarity with IEPs, student-centered interventions, and educational team collaboration
Ability to assess, plan, and implement individualized therapy activities
Exceptional communication and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough evaluations and develop targeted therapy plans for students
Provide direct and consultative OT services in alignment with students' IEP goals
Collaborate with teachers, staff, and caregivers to integrate therapeutic strategies within the classroom setting
Document progress, maintain legal compliance, and contribute to IEP meetings
Promote student independence in academic and daily living skills
