Industrial Janitor

A Manufacturing Janitor is responsible for keeping a manufacturing facility clean, safe, and orderly. The role typically involves cleaning production areas, break rooms, restrooms, offices, and other facility spaces while following workplace safety procedures.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Cleaning floors, walls, equipment areas, restrooms, and common areas.
• Sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and removing trash.
• Cleaning up spills, debris, and general manufacturing waste.
• Operating cleaning equipment such as floor scrubbers and industrial vacuums.
• Replenishing restroom and cleaning supplies.
• Maintaining clean and organized production areas without disrupting operations.
• Following company safety procedures and proper chemical-handling practices.
• Wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Reporting spills, damaged equipment, safety hazards, or maintenance issues.
• Performing other general facility-cleaning duties as assigned.

Common qualifications: reliability, attention to detail, ability to work independently, willingness to work around manufacturing equipment and industrial environments, ability to lift/move cleaning supplies, and the ability to follow safety procedures. Prior industrial or manufacturing cleaning experience is often preferred but may not be required.
