Blending Machine Operator - Job Description

Position Summary:
Responsible for operating and monitoring blending equipment to safely and accurately mix chemical soap and cleaning product ingredients according to established formulas, production schedules, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor industrial blending and mixing equipment.
• Measure and add raw materials and chemical ingredients according to batch formulas and production instructions.
• Follow established mixing times, temperatures, speeds, and processing procedures.
• Monitor the blending process to ensure products are mixed consistently and meet quality specifications.
• Perform routine checks of equipment before, during, and after production.
• Make adjustments to equipment settings as needed to maintain proper product consistency.
• Complete batch records, production logs, and material usage documentation accurately.
• Inspect raw materials and finished batches for quality, appearance, consistency, and other required specifications.
• Safely handle chemicals and raw materials while following all PPE and chemical-handling procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production area.
• Perform basic cleaning and sanitation of blending tanks, equipment, hoses, and work areas.
• Report equipment malfunctions, spills, quality issues, or safety concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
• Follow company procedures for chemical storage, waste disposal, spill response, and workplace safety.
• Work closely with production and quality-control personnel to meet daily production requirements.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience operating blending, mixing, or manufacturing equipment preferred.
• Experience in chemical, soap, cleaning-product, food, pharmaceutical, or similar manufacturing environments is a plus.
• Ability to accurately measure and handle raw materials.
• Ability to read and follow batch formulas, production instructions, and safety information.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
• Ability to safely work with chemicals and wear required PPE.
• Basic mechanical ability and willingness to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a production team.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift or move materials as required.

Work Environment:
Production/manufacturing facility involving chemical ingredients, blending equipment, machinery, noise, and varying temperatures. Employees are required to follow all safety procedures and wear appropriate PPE when handling chemicals and operating equipment.
