IT Field Technician / Low Voltage Installer About the Position Cooper Technologies is looking for a motivated IT Field Technician to install, troubleshoot, and maintain business technology systems for clients throughout Northeast Georgia. Every day is different—you may be installing Wi-Fi access points, mounting TVs, running network cable, deploying security cameras, troubleshooting computers, or helping build complete business networks. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys solving problems, working with their hands, and learning new technology. Responsibilities - Install and terminate Cat5e/Cat6 network cabling - Install and configure business Wi-Fi systems (UniFi preferred) - Mount TVs, monitors, and digital signage - Install security cameras and network video recorders - Install and troubleshoot VoIP phone systems - Install racks, patch panels, switches, and networking equipment - Perform desktop, laptop, and printer deployments - Troubleshoot wired and wireless network issues - Assist with Microsoft 365 setup and workstation migrations - Document completed work with photos and notes - Maintain a clean and professional appearance at customer sites - Safely use ladders, power tools, and test equipment Preferred Qualifications - Experience with IT, networking, AV, or low-voltage installations - Basic understanding of TCP/IP networking - Familiarity with Windows 10/11 and Microsoft 365 - Experience with UniFi equipment is a plus - Ability to terminate RJ45 connectors and test cabling - Strong troubleshooting and communication skills - Self-motivated and able to work independently after training Physical Requirements - Lift up to 75 pounds - Work on ladders and in attics, crawlspaces, and ceilings - Pull and route cable through walls and conduit - Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions Requirements - Valid driver's license with clean driving record - Reliable transportation - Ability to pass a background check - Basic hand tools (preferred) - Willingness to learn and continually improve technical skills What You'll Work On - Business IT support - Network installations - Wi-Fi deployments - Security camera systems - Audio/Video installations - Structured cabling - Microsoft 365 deployments - Server and workstation installations We provide on-the-job training for the right candidate. This job will be 20-40 hours per week depending on our work load
