Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: LTAC/Telemetry Duration: 16 weeks Shift: 19:00 - 07:30 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Two to five years required License: Must have a state or multi-state RN license Certifications: Must have ACLS and BLS certifications from the American Heart Association Must-Have: Vent/trach experience Description: The LTAC/Telemetry Registered Nurse holds shift accountability for providing care to patients. This is done by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy and procedures. The Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment, and leadership. The focus is on anticipating and planning for the safe delivery of care. Clinical competencies are maintained through continuing education. The role includes delegating patient care priorities based on the education and experience of the staff available. The Registered Nurse provides direction and supervision to assigned personnel delivering patient care.
