Role Overview The Restaurant Server serves Neiman Marcus customers in a warm, accommodating, and professional manner consistent with the high standards set by Neiman Marcus. Responsibilities Serve assigned seating section of dining area in a professional and gracious manner Utilize thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology, to provide detailed information to customers about menu items Leverage knowledge of wine, beer, and spirits, including technical and service procedures Interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties at the same time Participate in daily pre‑shift meetings Adhere to established accounting procedures for all transactions, including all authorized methods of payment, and maintain knowledge of the POS system Execute pre‑shift, post‑shift, and daily and weekly duties as assigned by supervisor Fulfill duties that may involve lifting objects (e.g., tables, chairs, highchairs, etc.) Clean and maintain restaurant and workstation Hygiene and Safety Standards Clean, pressed uniform jacket and accompanying clothing and shoes Clean and professionally styled hair and nails, maintained to avoid food contamination risks Exercise integrity with scheduling (punch in/out, schedule changes, lunch breaks, holiday/vacation coordination) Qualifications High School diploma or GED preferred Experience in serving food and beverage and following proper table service guidelines Ability to work autonomously Motivated and results‑driven Thorough knowledge of order of service and proper placement of table settings, food, and beverage as indicated by the kitchen ticket and guidebook Thorough knowledge of food, including preparation and culinary terminology Ability to interact graciously with the public and handle multiple duties at the same time Exceptional customer service and problem‑solving skills “Win together” mentality Role requires standing, bending, climbing stairs, and lifting and carrying up to 35 pounds Willingness to work a flexible schedule based on business needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Career Opportunities Opportunity to work in a dynamic fast‑paced environment at a company experiencing growth and transformation Exposure to rewarding career advancement opportunities across the largest multi‑brand luxury retailer from retail to distribution, digital or corporate Comprehensive benefits package for all eligible full‑time employees (including medical, vision and dental) Ample employee discount Salary & Benefits Starting pay is within the range of $22.03 - $27.54 and may vary based on market, experience, and qualifications.
