Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) – Job Description
Summary
Provide clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers to ensure efficient patient care and smooth clinic operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist physicians during exams and procedures
- Record vital signs and patient medical histories
- Administer medications and injections as directed
- Maintain patient records in EHR systems (HIPAA compliant)
- Perform basic lab tests and specimen collection
- Prepare exam rooms and maintain infection control
- Schedule appointments and support front-office tasks
Qualifications
- High School Diploma + Medical Assistant training
- Active CMA certification required
- BLS/CPR certification (preferred)
- Strong communication and patient care skills
