Payroll Coordinator

Payroll Coordinator Position Summary Our client is looking for a Payroll Coordinator who will be responsible for processing and distributing payroll, payroll taxes, and employee benefit payments while ensuring accuracy, compliance, and proper documentation. This role supports payroll operations by analyzing existing workflows, identifying opportunities for improvement, and contributing to process efficiencies. The Payroll Coordinator also prepares detailed payroll and benefits-related reports for internal use. Key Responsibilities Process and distribute payroll, payroll tax payments, and employee benefit payments in accordance with established policies and procedures Maintain accurate payroll records and ensure proper documentation of all payroll and benefit transactions Prepare regular and ad hoc reports related to payroll expenses, tax filings, and benefit disbursements Review current payroll processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy Serve as a subject matter resource for payroll-related questions and procedures Coordinate and prioritize work within the payroll function, providing guidance to less experienced team members as needed Work independently within defined procedures while exercising sound judgment and attention to detail Collaborate with related teams to ensure payroll activities align with broader organizational objectives Identify process gaps and suggest solutions to improve workflow, compliance, and operational effectiveness Role Characteristics Demonstrates strong working knowledge of payroll processes gained through training and hands-on experience Functions as a lead contributor, coordinating work activities without direct supervisory responsibility Applies a broad understanding of payroll systems, procedures, and related processes Influences team performance through expertise, collaboration, and continuous improvement efforts Education/Experience 3+ years of payroll experience Experience using various payroll systems International payroll experience preferred Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred Compensation and Benefits Salary range for the role is noted in this job posting.
