Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations through screening, testing, and diagnosing injuries and disabilities, tailoring treatment plans based on individual patient needs.
• Implement effective physical therapy procedures and modalities, ensuring treatments align with standard practices and evidence-based guidelines.
• Educate patients and their caregivers about their conditions and treatment plans, empowering them with knowledge to participate actively in their recovery process.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation for each patient, complying with regulatory requirements and ensuring the continuity of care.
• Monitor and enhance departmental productivity standards while delivering competent physical therapy services.
• Provide supervision and mentorship to physical therapy assistants and students, ensuring high-quality patient care throughout the therapy process.
• Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education opportunities to stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in physical therapy.
• Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives, contributing to the enhancement of clinical outcomes and patient satisfaction.
• Assist in preparing patient billing and participate in utilization review audits as required.
• Contribute to the development and marketing of physical therapy programs aimed at increasing our referral base and achieving departmental objectives.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role involves working with a diverse patient population, including neonates, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric clients. You will employ your expertise to develop tailored treatment plans that cater to various needs and abilities, ensuring every patient receives the highest standard of care in their home environment.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Physical Therapist license for Florida.
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution; a Master's or Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a healthcare setting, preferably in home health or similar environments.
• Adept in evaluating and treating patients across diverse age ranges, with an understanding of their unique needs and treatment approaches.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to facilitate effective interactions with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
• Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the position, including carrying, lifting, standing, and walking.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with home health therapy settings and familiarity with community health resources.
• Demonstrated ability to engage in teamwork and collaborate effectively in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Prior involvement in mentorship or training of junior staff and students.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
